Hooker Hill is a well known redlight district in the Itaewon section of Seoul that caters to foreigners. There are numerous redlight districts in Seoul but Hooker Hill is the only one where foreigners are accepted by all the women. That’s one of the reasons local Korean guys don’t go there. Another is that they have countless other options and would look down on many of the women on Hooker Hill both because of their styles and looks and also because they service waygookin.
Hooker Hill is a small hill near the Itaewon train station. There are small bars on both sides of it. Korean women in sexy dresses wait behind the opaque doors for guys to walk up or down the hill. When they spot one they will stick an arm out or come partly out of the bar to try to get the guy to come in. If he comes in they’ll lock the door and ask him to buy a drink.
The drinks are expensive and the drinks guys are asked to buy for the ladies are even more expensive. They can be ten US dollars or more. The prices are negotiable and in fact guys don’t have to buy any drinks at all. Many guys get sucked into the game but more knowledgeable ones simply ask for service right up front.
In some bars the services are provided on a bench or couch inside. In other bars customers are taken to short time rooms nearby.
Some women will only use their mouths while others will do it all. Prices are negotiable. Women meeting new guys will sometimes throw out crazy prices like 400,000 Won for full service hoping to get a bite. Guys with experience know they can get service for 70,000 Won on the hill and they rarely pay more than 90,000 for anything.
The women range in looks but most are shapely women in their 20’s or 30’s who can speak reasonable English. They can be more skilled and open to foreigners than some of their sisters in other places in South Korea but they can also be more mechanical.
Some women start working the bars in the morning and a few more in the afternoon but the action doesn’t really get going until the evening. The Hill is never very crowded even though there is a semi-popular regular dive bar at the top of the hill where some foreigners who live in Seoul like to hang out.
